A meeting was held at Hotel Imphal here during which the new members of ATSUM was chosen and inducted into the organisation and at the same time, the meeting also seriously discussed about several issues and demands related to it, the organization president Emboi Serto told reporters after the meeting.
Framing of rule of the Manipur Reservation of Vacancies in Post and Service (for ST and SC) Act, 2007 and objection of 200 Point Roster, regularization of adhoc employees and contract basis teachers, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Additional Director Hills, Education (S) among others were deliberated during the meeting, Serto said.
The meeting elected Joseph R Hmar as spokesperson of ATSUM, G Gaisinngam as secretary for Social and Culture, Lamkhogen Vaiphei as assistant general secretary and GH Newmeh as organizing secretary of the union, he informed.
Dr Donald Kosa, Dr John Pulamte, Thomas Taishya, Samson Remmei, W Shinglai, Apao Haokip and Haopu Khongsai were chosen members of the union's advisory board, he said.
