Inaocha said All India Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee has cleared Gangte's name.
Gangte had represented the constituency once but she did not contest the last election.
Inaocha said the party would also field candidate in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency for which the name of the candidate would be announced in due course.
Manipur has two parliamentary constituencies--Outer Manipur (hill areas) and Inner Manipur (valley areas).
