Gorlosa in his FIR alleged that the people of Dehangi constituency were deprived of PDS items for several months as Kedar Maibangsa in connivance with ST Jem Hrangkhol sold the PDS items in the Haflong market thereby depriving the people of Dima Hasao from their rights and dues. He also demanded an impartial CBI enquiry into the matter to deliver justice to the deprived people of the district.
Sandesh Sengyung, a villager while talking to this correspondent said that villagers not only of Dehangi constituency, but a sizeable people of the district are deprived of PDS items, due to such irregularities of the departmental officials in connivance with the EM in charge of Food & Civil Supplies.
Debolal Gorlosa, MAC, NCHAC from Dehangi constituency found these irregularities when he inquired into the matter following complaints from the villagers of Dehangi recently. He also demanded immediate and stern action against the culprits who have snatched away people’s food for their personal gains.
It would not be out of place to mention here that though there have been allegations of such irregularities in the Food & Civil Supplies in the district of Dima Hasao, but the authority concerned never felt it necessary to curb such irregularities for the reasons best known to them, people alleged.
