Separate statements issued by the UCC and HCF said the AR personnel came in 3 vehicles led by a Captain and raided the residence of Lalmalsawm, who is also the spokesperson of UCC, harassed him and vandalized his house around 2 pm on Sunday.
The statement also accused the AR of restoring similar raids and of harassing innocent civilians in the past and requested authorities concerned to ensure that such undesirable act against the civilians is not repeated.
The HCF also specifically stated that there have been many such incidents in Hmar areas before as well and added that it has resolved to respond with all forms of agitation if similar disturbances recur in Hmar inhabited areas.
