KWUM objects

Imphal, September 29 2009: Kuki Women Union, Manipur (KWUM) has strongly objected to holding fresh DPC for recruitment of primary teachers by superseding 835 teachers appointed in 2006 under six ADCs.

In a statement, KWUM president Rose Mangshi Haokip informed that after a minute investigation, the Union found that the Joint Action Committee for 2006 Autonomous District Council Teachers Appointed Parents and Guardians has been fighting for a genuine case and justified that 835 primary teachers deserved to be absorbed and protected their services.

So holding of DPC twice for the same appointed teachers will be against the law of Service Rules, the Union said, while appealing to the authorities concerned for reconsideration.
