According to sources from the malaria department, at Pamzal about 150 people, 23 at Sinzang and five at Sainoujang village are suffering from the disease and are vomiting occasionally.
In this connection, a team led by Dr. Chongnu has been sent earlier and they are helping the patients by providing medicines to fight the disease.
Th Chinkhothang chief of the Pamzal village thanked the Simte Tribe Council, STC, and the Zomi Youth Association, ZYA, leaders for their timely help to ensure the team went to the areas and did the needful.
In the meantime, the Manipur Tribals Council, MTC, has said in a press release that it regrets the scant attention to the Autonomous District Council election matter paid by some hill area MLAs as they failed to take part in a meeting on July 29.
It said such MLAs are doing the act intentionally.
