Vehemently condemning the alleged dastardly act of the MAP, the HSA in a statement said, 'atrocities committed by the MAP is an infringement of customary laws of the land and basic human rights violation perpetrated against peace loving people' .
The HSA statement also claimed that the incident has threatened the peaceful coexistence of the people of the region and a challenge to the prevailing harmony amongst the concerned tribes.
The statement which deplored the way authorities concerned pleaded ignorance over the incident, termed the attitude as 'heart-aching' and added that such grave crime should never be carried out again by outsiders within the territory of Manipur.
