A press release issued by Sanim Kuki, in charge of information and publicity of Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) informed that L Hangsing, chairman, (RGOK-KRA) while addressing the meeting called upon the Kuki civil society to cooperate with it in its peace process negotiation with the government to resolve the issues of the Kuki people.
Various issues raised by the KRA before the government for the Kuki community residing in the autonomous district were explained in details. The KRA leader admitted that they have returned to the mainstream eschewing the path of violence expecting to get solution of the long-standing demands of Kuki people through peaceful and democratic means.
He also mentioned that some vicious elements with the help of vested interests are trying to derail the efforts of the peace loving and law-abiding KRA which is unfortunate.
Meanwhile, he appealed to all the Kuki people to support them and to disassociate with such unwanted elements which might create discord and bring mistrust within the Kuki society.
In the open meeting, a series of resolutions were adopted by the Kuki civil societies to extend support to the other Kuki militant outfit, United Kukigam Defence Army (UKDA) as well as the KRA in the peace process talk with the government.
