The public meeting was attended by around 4000 people belonging to different communities like Zeliangrong, Kuki, Hmar, Paite, Muslims, Bengalis, Bishnupriyas, Biharis, Khasis and Meiteis, reports our correspondent.
The meeting unanimously decided to call economic blockade on NH 37 from September 16 to 23 .
During the meeting, one Khundrakpam Rajkumar (26) s/o Kh Radhakishore voluntarily offered to launch a fast unto death campaign from September 15 in front of MSF Jiribam office in pursuit of the demand.
