Pawan Hans to resume NE service soon

GUWAHATI, May 26 – Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited (PHHL), which suspended its operation in the North East following the death of former Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu in a chopper crash, is expected to resume its operations in the region soon.

However, the report of the inquiry into the plane crash is still awaited. PC Sharma of PHHL informed that a team of experts is examining the black box and real cause of the crash would come to the fore soon.

Sharma was speaking during a seminar at Guwahati.

Sharma further stated that two new MI-172 aircraft bought by the PHHL would be made operational in the North East once it resumes its operation in the region.

He reiterated that the aircraft with the Arunachal Chief Minister and four others on board was in perfect condition.
